Dennis W. Dalton Jr. Obituary (Layton, Utah):

Dennis (Doggo) Dalton was born February 12, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Retta and Dennis W. Dalton, Sr.

He passed away on December 27, 2012 after a lingering illness.  Dennis grew up in Salt Lake City and Farmington.  He graduated from Davis High School.

He joined the Marines and was stationed in San Diego and North Carolina.  After serving in the Marine Corps, he was employed by Coca Cola for many years and then employed as a cabinetmaker for many years.

He married Diane Malone and had one child, Patricia.  He was later divorced from Diane.  He married Laurel Smith and had one child, Michelle.

Dennis's interests included woodworking, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, square dancing, walking his dog and going to car shows.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Laural Dalton, sister, Helen (Gary) Perkins, brother, David Dalton, daughters Michelle (Joshua) Preece, Patricia (Rob) Ostler, and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.  Friends may visit family Wednesday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park.  Services entrusted to Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  (Source:  www.area-info.net by Kim Egginton, Editor).
