I sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for six years. I participated in several Happy Hollow musical plays in Kaysville, Utah. I sang at Kaysville's Bicentennial Ball in 1976 and was in the Musical Play "Tall Tom Jefferson" that year. In 1976, I also made my own colonial costumes and I served on Kaysville's planning committee for some of the local celebrations for our Nation's 200th Birthday Celebration that year. I also was one of the vocal soloists for Kaysville's Bicentennial Ball to celebrate our nation's birthday in 1976. That was a thrilling and very enjoyable time in my life.

I would like to add that my very favorite movie and musical play is "The Sound of Music". I first became acquainted with that after my first year at Davis High School when my parents took me and my brother down to the Kaysville Movie Theator so see the forerunner of "The Sound of Music" which was "The Trappe Family Singers". When the movie came out in around 1965 or so, my mothertook me to the movie "The Sound of Music" that premiered in Salt Lake City for my 21st birthday. "The Sound of Music" is everything I stand for -- love of music and nature, romance and standing for freedom and liberty, the human spirit, and wholesome family life.

I also sang in Handel's Messiah in the chorus as few times. In 1966, I participated in the Hill Cumorah Pageant. I wish I had served a mission then and am happy about how many young missionaries are leaving from our ward to serve a mission for the Church.

I belong to several organizations to protect Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and the whole Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem -- a great place to take your family. I love nature with all its wonders and beauties and have many wonderful memories of when as a family during my youth our parents took us camping, hiking, and fishing. We had a lot of fun together in the Great Outdoors.

I attended Brigham Young University from the fall of 1963 to 1967. I graduated with a BS Degree from Brigham Young University in 1967. My degree was in Child Development and Family Relations.

I hope to get several of my creative writings published and am presently working on a holiday (Christmas) Movie script. I am just in the beginning of creating that now. Sometimes, when I work on the script, I get so envolved with my characters that I get a bit teary eyed when I know they are struggling and feel joy when things get better for them.

I am interested in Family Search and am surprised at how many nations are in my genealogy. I was surprised to find out that I have ancestors from all over Europe and into Russia and even a bit of Chinese. Most of my ancestors are primarily Germanic nations, some French, all over Great Britain, all of Scandinavia. Some are even from Russia and the Ukrain. Some few from the Mediterranian European nations.

From the BYU channel on T.V., I learned about Relative Finder and the Sorenson DNA labs to help us find our ancestors along with Family Search. On Relative Finder, I discovered that I am related to several interesting people, because way back we have some common ancestors and therefore, we are cousins several times removed but significant enough to make mention of on Relative Finder. I am related to Abraham Lincoln on my Father's side and Elder Jeff Holland. On my Mother's side I am realated to President Gordon B. Hinckley, Emma Smith who is the wife of the Prophet Joseph Smith, President Ulyssis S. Grant, and Merryweather Lewis of the Lewis and Clark Expedition to name some of the best known. Relative Finder can also help you discover some of your ancestors. This is not to brag but to let you know I have a lot to live up to and want to be the kind of person the people I mentioned are and were. To live up to the best that is within you.

I am active in the LDS Church and have a strong testimony of the Gospel. I live in a great ward and have many freinds, some from around the country.

School Story

I was a very good student in Junior High and High School, dressed well, and was a good roll model for the other students.

I love people and try to be considerate of them and build them up. I am delighted whenever I see anyone from my graduating class and I hope they are doing well. I enjoyed singing in the Choirs in school and later on in college. I enjoyed my experience with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I love music and creative writing.
