Sherri passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. She was born October 8, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Clyde W. and Billie Muir. She grew up in Layton, Utah and graduated from Davis High School in 1963. On July 25, 1964, she married the love of her life James R. McLaughlin, Jr. Mac was career Air Force and during his career they lived in Japan, Turkey, and South Carolina. Their last assignment took them to Denver, Colorado.
Sherri was a sweet wonderful person full of fun, wit and life. Sherri loved her Denver Broncos and watching the winter Olympics with Ice Skating being her favorite.
Sherri is survived by her daughter, Alycia Miller of Ogden; granddaughter, ShaeLyn Miller, Ogden; grandson, James Miller of Ohio; brothers, Bailey (Lorna) Muir, Leeds, Utah; Clyde Muir, Roy; and Ralph (Wanda) Muir, Layton; sisters, Billie Powell, Ogden; RutheAnn (Bob) Rabenstein, Layton; brother-in-law, Ed Schofield, Portland, Oregon; sister-in-law and husband, Dorothy and Bob Duff, of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters, Janet and Judy.
Sherri will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sherri Lynn Muir McLaughlin's name at any Wells Fargo Bank to help with funeral expenses.
