I love Judy Stewart dearly.  When we had our last class reunion, Judy came to me and greeted me with some very kind words. Judy was a kind and pure pure person and always had something positive and nice to say about others. I've known Judy since Third Grade. She was in my class then and always added a lot to our class. I really miss her.

Judy Lynne Stewart Mayfield 1945-2004

Birth:           May 9, 1945, Salt Lake City, Utah

Death:         April 21, 2004, Fruits Heights, Davis County, Utah

Fruit Heights -  Judy Lynne Stewart Mayfield, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned to her Father in Heaven surrounded by loved ones at her home, Wednesday, April 21, 2004 due to complications from diabetes.  She is now free of her earthly struggles.  She was born May 9, 1945 in Salt Lake City the daughter of David Alma and Ronella Lalliss Stewart.  Judy was raised in Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School in 1963.  Judy married Richard James Mayfield, her high school sweetheart on June 19, 1964 in the Logan LDS Temple.  Judy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and possessed a strong testimony of the Gospel her entire life.  She was a truly faithful daughter of our Heavenly Father.  She was a compassionate leader in various callings, including former Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women president.  Her selfless acts of love on behalf of her fellow man were witnessed in her every action.  Judy's greatest joys were found with her children and grandchildren.  She will always be remembered by them for her family gatherings and especially, her Grandma Parties.  She also enjoyed shopping, walking with friends, the lunch bunch, literary book club, and working with friends at JC Penney.  Surviving are her loving husband of 40 years, Richard James Mayfield, two sons, Chad Richard (Athena) Mayfield, Salt Lake City; Jeremy Jason (Stefanie) Mayfield, Layton; two daughters, Michelle Mayfield (David) Pearce, Syracuse; Denise Mayfield (Jeff) Oyler, Kaysville; and eight grandchildren.  Also surviving are her parents, David Alma and Ronnie Stewart, mother-in-law, Marjorie McKay Mayfield, three brothers, Fred Steward, Lyle Stewart, and Rob Stewart, and one sister, Pauline Brough, Layton.  Preceded in death by her brother, John David (Jack), and father-in-law, Brigham Arthur Mayfield.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Fruit Heights Stake Center, 170 No. Mountain Rd.  Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the church.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
